Associate - Planning

This Top 50 firm, considered a mid-market heavyweight, is seeking a Planning Associate with 1 to 5 years of PQE to join their team in the City of London to handle a wide scope of highly engaging work for the team's loyal client base. The Role

This is a standout opportunity for a planning associate to join this top 50 law firm in London.

In this role, you will be working on a challenging and varied caseload and benefit from clear progression opportunities.

The team has some very exciting projects going on at the moment and also in the pipeline. They handle excellent work, have very loyal clients, and are looking for people who will be excited by having some of the best work in the market available within a genuinely collaborative and friendly team.

The work will include:

• planning (applications, strategic, certificate of lawful use/development)
• s106
• permitted development rights
• local plans, neighbourhood plans
• CIL and the proposed infrastructure levy
• biodiversity, nitrate and phosphate mitigation, and constraints on development
• Highway agreements and advice on highways and rights of way
• stopping and diversion of highways and rights of way
• traffic management orders
• compulsory purchase orders and compensation

On top of this, you will be working with real estate colleagues on planning due diligence.

The Ideal Candidate:

• You will have 1-5 PQE (with this experience being gained as a Planning Solicitor) with either a private or public sector background.
• You will have good organisational skills.

• Excellent client relationship skills and experience in business development.
