This premier international law firm is seeking a Senior Projects Associate (5+ PQE) to join its market-leading Construction and Projects Team in London.

It presents a rare opportunity to take on a key role within a top-tier team renowned for its work on the UK's most iconic infrastructure and energy developments.

The Firm

This global law firm is a leader in construction and infrastructure, with a Tier 1-ranked team and an unparalleled client base that spans major developers, funders, government bodies, energy providers, and almost every Tier 1 construction company in the UK. Their legal practice spans a wide variety of sectors including energy (renewables, nuclear, and conventional), transport, water, waste, real estate, and health.

With offices across Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, and a strong commitment to innovation and cross-border collaboration, this firm offers outstanding legal advice rooted in a deep understanding of its clients' industries and strategic goals.

The Role

This is a senior role within a collaborative, international projects and construction team. The successful candidate will be advising on large-scale infrastructure and development projects across the private and public sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on real estate development, infrastructure finance, and major construction transactions.
  • Handling complex project structures, high-risk buildings, and building safety issues.
  • Leading on cross-border and national project agreements in sectors such as energy, real estate, and transport.
  • Playing a visible leadership role within the team - mentoring junior lawyers and overseeing project delivery.
  • Supporting high-profile clients through long-term partnerships and advising on both bespoke and standard form documentation.
  • Contributing to business development, including pitching and client relationship building.

You'll be involved in the full spectrum of work, from strategic advisory to negotiation and delivery on landmark projects such as HS2, Hinkley, Crossrail, Dubai Expo, and major local authority-led schemes.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years' PQE in projects or transactional construction law gained at a top commercial practice or in-house legal team.
  • Strong technical grounding in infrastructure or energy projects, ideally including real estate and finance elements.
  • Experience advising on high-risk developments and related regulatory/compliance frameworks.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience supervising junior fee earners.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to provide pragmatic, solution-focused legal advice.

What's on Offer:

  • A role at the forefront of the infrastructure and projects market within one of the largest specialist legal teams in the world.
  • A platform to work on globally recognised projects and make a significant impact in shaping the built environment.
  • Exceptional career progression opportunities within a firm that truly invests in its people through structured training and bespoke development.
  • Agile working options and a culture of inclusion, diversity, and innovation.
  • Access to market-leading legal technology, project management tools, and collaborative cross-office initiatives.

If you are a commercially focused, senior construction or projects lawyer ready to take the next step in your career, this is an excellent opportunity to join a team delivering some of the most important infrastructure work in the UK and beyond.
