Associate - Real Estate Litigation (2-4 PQE) - London - Top 50 Law Firm

You will work on a broad range of complex property disputes, including commercial landlord and tenant matters, telecoms issues, and real property disputes.

The Role:

As an Associate in the Real Estate Litigation team, you will handle a diverse caseload spanning commercial property disputes, telecoms, and real property matters. Working within a collaborative team, you will advise a broad range of clients, including commercial landlords, investors, developers, and social housing providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling commercial landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals (both contested and uncontested under the 1954 Act), rent recovery, forfeiture, break notices, breach of covenant, dilapidations, and service charges.
  • Advising on tenant insolvency issues and rights of alienation.
  • Managing real property disputes, including rights of light, nuisance, restrictive covenants, and easements.
  • Advising on telecoms-related property matters on behalf of landowners.
  • Providing guidance on fire safety obligations, service charge disputes, and compliance with fire safety legislation.
  • Supporting disputes relating to sale and purchase agreements, development agreements, forward funding, and agreements for lease.
  • Involvement in planning disputes and transactional support as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2-4 years PQE in Real Estate Litigation.
  • Experience in a range of commercial landlord and tenant, real property, and telecoms disputes.
  • Strong understanding of leasehold law, property disputes, and litigation processes.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
