Looking to qualify into a team where you'll get exposure to high-value, City-quality transactions without losing balance in your life? This is your chance to join a partner-led, nationally recognised banking and finance team, right in the heart of Cardiff.

The Role

From day one, you'll be working on live deals with direct partner contact, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of finance matters. Expect variety, client interaction, and the chance to build a strong technical foundation. You'll be involved in:

  • Acting for major banks, challenger lenders, institutional funds, government bodies, social housing providers, and corporate borrowers

  • Supporting on all aspects of banking and finance including real estate development finance, acquisition/leveraged finance, and structured lending

  • Drafting and reviewing loan agreements, security documents, and CPs, and managing transactions from sanction through to drawdown

  • Working alongside corporate, property, and commercial colleagues to deliver seamless solutions for clients

  • Liaising directly with clients, building confidence in managing relationships early in your career

  • Getting involved in business development and sector initiatives with support from the wider team

What We're Looking For

This role is for:

  • Solicitors from NQ to 2PQE

  • Strong communicators who are commercially minded and eager to learn

  • Team players who want responsibility but also value guidance and support

Why This Role?

For junior lawyers, the firm offers something different:

  • Early responsibility: you won't be stuck in the background; you'll work directly with partners and clients from day one

  • City-calibre work in Cardiff: complex, high-value deals without London hours or lifestyle sacrifice

  • Training and development: structured learning, mentoring, and real opportunities to specialise in your chosen area of finance

  • Supportive culture: approachable partners, collaborative colleagues, and a firm that invests in your growth

  • Work-life balance: hybrid working and a central Cardiff base in an award-winning office environment

This is a role where junior lawyers don't just learn by watching, you'll be trusted, supported, and developed into the next generation of banking and finance specialists.
