Clinical Negligence Solicitor
Purpose of the Role
A leading regional law firm is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its specialist Clinical Negligence team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior or Principal Associate to work on high-quality, complex matters within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of clinical negligence matters, including assisting on catastrophic injury and cerebral palsy claims, as well as advising clients in inquests and throughout the litigation process.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims from instruction through to conclusion.
Assist senior fee earners with high-value and complex cases, including cerebral palsy and brain injury claims.
Take detailed client instructions and assess medical and legal issues to determine case prospects.
Prepare and review expert instructions and reports.
Draft key legal documentation such as letters of claim, schedules of loss, pleadings, and witness statements.
Maintain excellent client care and communication throughout each case.
Ensure compliance with firm policies, risk management, and professional conduct requirements.

Technical Expertise
Significant experience handling a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims, ideally including both litigated and pre-litigated work.
Proven experience assisting with or managing high-value catastrophic injury cases (e.g. cerebral palsy, brain injury).
Strong knowledge of clinical negligence law, procedure, and medical evidence.
Experience managing cases through all stages of litigation.
