Commercial Associate / Senior Associate - NHS & Public Sector | Top 100 Firm | Bristol

Join a leading Top 100 law firm recognised nationally for its work across health, housing and local government. This is a chance to be part of a team considered one of the most respected in its field, advising some of the UK's most high-profile NHS and public sector organisations on complex and meaningful commercial projects.

The role sits within a collaborative and forward-thinking Commercial & Infrastructure team based in Bristol, known for its pragmatic approach and genuine commitment to client partnership. You'll be working on a broad range of commercial and procurement matters including joint ventures, outsourcing, public and private collaborations and innovative health projects involving technology, AI and data.

What stands out about this firm

True flexibility: work from the Bristol office, from home or a blend of both. You're trusted to work in the way that suits you best.

A grown-up culture: output matters more than hours at your desk. School runs, family commitments and life outside of work are all part of the normal day here.
Supportive, down-to-earth colleagues: it's a genuinely collegiate environment where people back each other and collaboration comes naturally.

Meaningful work: you'll advise clients whose work directly impacts public services and communities.

What you'll be doing

Advising NHS and public sector clients on a variety of commercial contracts, structures and procurement strategies.
Supporting clients through complex projects such as service outsourcing and shared services or new models of care.
Collaborating with colleagues across corporate, property, employment and finance to deliver joined-up advice.
Building strong relationships with clients and helping to shape the growth of this thriving national practice.

Who this would suit

You'll likely have between 4 and 8 years' PQE, with experience in commercial contracts, ideally including work for NHS or wider public sector clients. What matters most is a practical, solutions-driven mindset and the confidence to engage directly with clients and lead on matters.

This is a standout opportunity for a lawyer who values top-quality work within a genuinely flexible, grown-up environment, one where you can build a career around your life, not the other way around.
