The role
The firm are seeking to hire a Commercial Litigation Partner; to join their growing litigation team, their office is based in the heart of the West End of London.
- The Commercial Litigation department currently consists of a team of four. One partner and three solicitors. The department in recent years has performed extremely well, with this year it set to be the most profitable department.
- The department is currently busy, it was hoped that a current senior associate would step up to partnership, but due to maternity the firm are now needing to hire externally for a commercial litigation partner.
- This role could prove to be a good platform for progression for a senior solicitor seeking a route to partnership, perhaps in a top-heavy team.
- The department acts for a broad range of businesses across a number of industry sectors, ranging from entrepreneurs, HNW individuals, SME, start-ups right the way through to national companies.
- Work will include but not be limited to; Shareholder disputes, arbitration and meditation, debt recovery, copyright and trademark infringement, defamation, HMRC enquiries, corporate insolvency, breach of contract and seizure orders.
- The team are entrepreneurial and ambitious, you will find there to be a high energy between the team to drive the department forwards.
- You will work with the leadership to drive the department forwards; you will be actively involved in strategy and planning. Taking an active role in business development, you will also oversee, mentor and develop more junior members of the team.
- You will be a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with at least seven years PQE (no upper limit)
- Salary and package are negotiable depending on your background and experience, there is also a lucrative bonus structure that allows you to boost earnings by way of billings.
