Senior Associate - Commercial & Technology | 5+ PQE | Cardiff

You'll step into a senior role within a growing, dynamic Commercial & Technology team that advises fast-growth companies, established corporates, and tech-led innovators across a range of sectors, from fintech and medtech to digital platforms and manufacturing.

The Role

You'll lead on a broad and stimulating range of work, including:

• 
  Drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements (SaaS, software licensing, outsourcing, collaboration, supply and distribution).
• 
  Advising on data protection, intellectual property, and regulatory considerations within tech and digital markets.
• 
  Acting as a trusted adviser to clients on strategic and operational commercial issues.
• 
  Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• 
  Playing an active part in business development and shaping the team's future growth.

You'll work closely with other departments to deliver complete, commercially focused solutions to clients operating at the forefront of innovation.

What You'll Bring

• 
  5+ years' PQE in commercial and/or technology law.
• 
  Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
• 
  The confidence to lead on client relationships and complex transactions.
• 
  A commercial mindset and strategic approach to problem solving.
• 
  Experience mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development.

Experience in technology, fintech, or digital sectors will be an advantage, as will an interest in evolving areas such as data privacy and cyber regulation.
