The Role

A standout opportunity for a junior non-contentious construction associate with 0 - 4 years' PQE to join a forward-thinking and rapidly expanding team with excellent mentorship and support.

You will work closely with a specialist team across the wide spectrum of projects, gaining extensive and hands on knowledge. Working with a prestigious clients shaping their procurement and contracting strategies, negotiating and drafting all types of construction and development documentation. Alongside advising on risks in live schemes, including preventing the failure of construction projects.

The role is extremely rewarding with a varied workstream of non-contentious construction law, standard form construction contracts and appointments, including JCT, NEC and EPC forms. Candidates with experience of commercial and/or housing development work will be of high intertest for the team but not required.

Requirements:

  • 0-4 years' PQE, with previous experience in construction.
  • Strong grounding in non-contentious construction law, including standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, EPC) and their typical amendments.
  • Exposure to commercial and/or housing development work would be advantageous, while not a prerequisite as you'll be trained and mentored throughout.
  • Commercial awareness and enthusiasm to develop sector knowledge, contribute to know-how, and support business development.
  • Team-oriented approach with the flexibility to thrive in the firm's hybrid working environment.
