Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer - Battle, East Sussex
Full-Time | Office-Based

A well-established and friendly law firm based in Battle is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Fee Earner to join their close-knit team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled conveyancing professional to manage their own caseload from instruction to completion, with the support of a dedicated Legal Secretary and Legal Assistant once a full caseload is established. While post-qualification experience is welcome, it is not essential, what matters is the ability to run matters independently with confidence.

The Role:

• Managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters including freehold, leasehold, new builds, shared ownership, bridging finance, remortgages, and buy-to-let/portfolio transactions
• Handling transactions from instruction through to post-completion
• Drafting and reviewing contracts and title documents
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, brokers, lenders, and third parties
• Using a case management system efficiently and accurately
• Ensuring timely billing and maintaining high client care standards
• Supportive environment with three other fee earners based in the Battle office

Requirements:

• Conveyancing Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with a minimum 1 year of fee earning experience within residential property
• Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process and associated matters
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with leasehold, corporate clients, and portfolio landlords is desirable
• Commercially aware and proactive in approach
