With numerous Tier 1 ranked practice areas, this award-winning firm is seeking a talented Corporate Lawyer to join their accomplished National team in their modern Glasgow or Edinburgh office.

The Team

  • Dynamic national Corporate team covering full UK jurisdiction
  • Reputation for technical excellence and commercial pragmatic advice
  • Close-knit structure with no rigid sub-teams; collaborative working across all members
  • Advises on complex transactions for notable private, listed, and international clients
  • Expertise in M&A, group restructurings, management buyouts, joint ventures, strategic investments

The Role

  • This position is suitable for someone at Associate or Senior Associate level and the team are open to flexible working discussions for those who can't easily reach Glasgow or Edinburgh
  • You will lead role on major transactions including:
    • Corporate acquisitions and disposals
    • Employee Ownership Trusts
    • Management buy-outs/ins
    • Private equity and venture capital investments
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Provide strategic advice, lead negotiations on key documents, project manage transactions
    • Advise diverse clients: large listed/unlisted companies, PE/VC-backed firms, mid-market investors, management teams, founder shareholders
    • Collaborate on business development, profile-raising events, and communications
    • Supervise and develop Paralegals, Trainees, and Associates

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor with 2-8 PQE in Corporate law.
  • Senior-level responsibility managing complex/high-value transactions
  • Proven ability to lead autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Experience in Employee Ownership Trusts and Investments is desirable
  • Creative, analytical thinker with excellent communication, organisational skills, and client focus
  • Ability to supervise/manage junior team members
  • Ambitious, self-motivated with committed firm growth and people-focused values
