Corporate Senior Associate

- London
- Permanent
If you are a corporate senior associate with 6+ years PQE looking to take the next step towards partnership within a well-established West End firm, then this could be for you. The firm values contribution and initiative, not just hours billed, so be prepared to have a voice in how the firm grows. You'll work within a close knit, vibrant team that all work toward the same mission, giving you clear, supported direction every day. This role offers the opportunity to build long-term client relationships, work closely with partners on complex matters, and play an active role in the continued growth of the corporate practice
This position offers a clear pathway to partnership, and you'll be supported by the firm to get there.
The Firm
The firm is a multi-disciplined professional services firm with multiple offices across the London area. Its integrated model allows corporate lawyers to work closely with chartered accountants, tax advisers and financial advisers to provide clients with joined-up commercial advice. This not only means you'll get a much wider understanding of all of your clients, but it give you much more depth to your offering when speaking with clients, new and old.
As one of the largest independently owned, multi-disciplined firms in the Thames Valley, the firm offers the reassurance of scale and stability, while retaining the ambition and agility of an owner-led business. The culture is deliberately straightforward and commercial - expectations are clear, decision-making is transparent, and strong performance is recognised without politics or unnecessary hierarchy. Lawyers tend to build long-term careers here, supported by a competitive benefits package, regular firm-wide events that genuinely bring teams together, and a working environment designed to help people perform at a high level without burning out.
The Role
This senior corporate associate role is based in the firm's busy West End office, working closely with partners on a wide range of corporate matters for an established and growing client base. The work is broad in nature, meaning no two days are the same and you'll get to work on a varied workload. Such as:
- Mergers and acquisitions, including share and asset transactions
- Corporate restructurings, internal reorganisations and demerger processes
- Drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements and joint venture arrangements
- Advising on company formations, share capital structuring and corporate governance
- Supporting investment transactions, including private equity and venture capital deals
You will be client-facing from the outset, trusted with ownership of matters from instruction through to completion, with partner input that is supportive rather than supervisory. You'll play a visible role in developing client relationships and shaping the ongoing growth of the corporate practice, rather than operating behind the scenes. You'll also be encouraged to mentor junior lawyers, with the scope to build influence within the team as it continues to expand.
The firm offers a clear, well-established route to partnership, giving you the time and support to develop a credible business case and follow a pathway already taken by others within the firm

- Excellent technical ability combined with the confidence to build and maintain client relationships

- Cross-border experience would be beneficial but is not essential
What's on Offer
- Market-competitive salary plus bonus
- Strong and comprehensive benefits package
- A defined route to partnership with genuine long-term prospects
- Autonomy and ownership of client relationships and matters, with support to develop your practice
