Due to exciting expansion and the opening of a brand new office in Bournemouth, this Legal 500 firm seeks an experienced Corporate Solicitor (Associate level) to take a lead role in developing and growing its corporate law offering in the region. The Role
- Lead the establishment and development of the corporate team in Bournemouth, working closely with partners and other departments to build a cohesive offering.
- Handle a diverse caseload of corporate transactions including M&A, private equity, shareholder agreements, group restructures, corporate governance, and commercial contracts.
- Play a key role in business development, building relationships with local referrers, clients, and intermediaries to grow the firm's presence in the local corporate market.
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices on cross-disciplinary matters.
- Support and help supervise junior lawyers as the team expands.
What You Will Bring
- Qualified Solicitor (4+ PQE) with solid experience in a wide range of corporate matters.
- Proven ability to manage complex transactional work and run files independently.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence in client engagement and business development.
- A collaborative approach and interest in building a new team/office.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers is an advantage.
- A following or established network in the local market would be highly advantageous but not essential.
