Employment Solicitor / Associate (3-6 Years PQE)

A leading UK law firm with a strong regional and national presence is seeking an Employment Solicitor or Associate (3-6 years' PQE) to join its highly regarded Chelmsford Employment Team. Recognised in the top tier by Legal 500 and Chambers, the team handles a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work for corporates, public sector bodies, education providers, high net worth individuals and senior executives.

The Role

The role offers exposure to the full spectrum of employment law, including drafting contracts, service agreements, handbooks and policies; advising on maternity, parental and general contractual issues; handling redundancies, restructures, TUPE and executive appointments; enforcing and defending restrictive covenants; and managing tribunal litigation involving wrongful and unfair dismissal, discrimination, boardroom disputes and severance claims. The work also includes transactional support, trade union matters, and professional discipline or fitness-to-practice issues.

You will also be involved in business development, supporting pitches, networking and contributing to client publications.

Requirements

  • Employment Solicitor or Associate 3-6 years' PQE in an employment law, ideally from a strong regional, national or City firm
  • Commercially astute with strong technical knowledge and client-facing skills
  • Keen to develop client relationships and support the team's growth
