The role:
Opportunity for a Housing Management Solicitor/Associate NQ-5 years PQE to join a leading firm in their Southampton office.
This team acts for a large number of registered providers of social housing and local authorities and deal with all aspects of housing management functions including possession actions, anti-social behaviour and policy and procedure work.
As such, you can expect a varied diet of work involving the following: anti-social behaviour injunctions; committal proceedings; claims for possession against tenants, trespassers and former tenants holding over; possession and injunction proceedings against travellers and persons unknown; advising on and drafting tenancy/ licence agreements, and policies and procedures; advising on all aspects of tenancy management issues; common law injunctions; and Judicial review and appeals.
Subject to your level of experience your case load will include injunctions and possession applications, advisory work, discrimination claims and all aspects of drafting including pleadings, witness statements and regular client communication. There is also the option to carry out advocacy.
The ideal candidate:
- Housing Management Solicitor/Associate NQ-5 years PQE
- Previous experience of work for social landlords and/or housing associations
- Ambitious attitude with a strong working mentality
