The International Private Client Team:

The team is a highly regarded and collaborative department offering wide-ranging expertise across estates and private property, tax planning and family matters. With lawyers across the team from major City, national and international firms.

The international private client team has a clear strategic focus on cross-border estate planning, UK tax advice, and advisory work for HNW.

The team works with high-net-worth individuals, trustees, business owners and family offices on cross-border tax, succession and wealth planning, and related private client disputes - offering diverse, substantive work with real client impact.

As the team and firm continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Private Client Associate to join this highly regarded team, where you will help drive further success and growth within the sector.

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning team dealing with prestigious clients and high-quality offshore Private Client work. Advising private banks, international trust companies, HNW individuals and families and even overseas law firms!

The role itself is highly rewarding, covering a varied caseload focused on cross-border wills, succession and estate planning.

You will advise on a broad range of International (European) Private Client matters, including the drafting and negotiation of Wills, trusts, deeds and associated documentation, the preparation of tailored advice notes and correspondence, and the administration of complex cross-border estates.

Alongside this, you'll have the opportunity to advance and build your profile. With the scope to take on greater responsibility for business development as your career progresses, contributing to both your success and the growth of the team.

Requirements:

  • Be an experienced International Private Client lawyer, with 2-4 years' PQE gained at a reputable legal firm.
  • Strong attention to detail to produce work documentation which is consistently of a high standard
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, combined with a flexible approach to meet urgent client and court deadlines.
  • Commercially minded, able to provide strategic, practical advice while maintaining outstanding client service.
  • Proven ability and enthusiasm for future career progression and business development.
