This Top Tier Legal 500 firm are seeking to recruit a Junior Legal Cashier with experience in a conveyancing firm to join their modern office based in Central London.

The Firm

This full-service firm deals with an outstanding quality of work, both across the UK and Internationally. Real estate/conveyancing is their primary area of focus, though they operate across several areas of law for both businesses and individuals.

The Role

You will be working closely with the accounts team and wider practice, undertaking a range of duties including:

• Keeping up to date with and working in accordance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Handling cheques for both client and office accounts.
• Processing bills and write-offs of bills/disbursements.
• Managing completions.
• Processing and paying Land Registry invoices.
• BACS payments for suppliers, referrals, and Stamp Duty.
• Accurate posting of client account receipts and payments.
• Accurate processing of BACS and CHAPS payments via online banking.
• Supporting the conveyancing team with financial transactions.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end accounts.
• Answering accounts queries both internally and externally.
• General administration and housekeeping of files and ledgers.
• Ad hoc accounts tasks as required.

Experience Required

• Previous experience working in a cashiering or accounts role within a law firm, where conveyancing has been a significant part of the firm's workload (and therefore, you have been working on conveyancing files from a cashier's perspective - this is a must have requirement)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
• Familiarity with online banking and accounting processes.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
