The Role

This Top 50 firm in London is looking to hire a Managing Associate or Legal Director to join their award-winning Competition team in London.

This role will form a crucial part of their team, making it a great opportunity for the right candidate.

Depending on your previous experience and interests, you could also support wider regulatory, dispute resolution, or commercial matters requiring competition law expertise as part of a varied multi-disciplinary practice; this is not a prerequisite for the role, however.

In this role, you can expect to be involved in and lead (with supervision) on:

• advising clients on a wide range of antitrust matters, from merger control work to market and targeted investigations, as well as behavioural advice, compliance training, and associated support;
• undertaking National Security and Investment Act analyses and notifications;
• advising on subsidy control and associated policy;
• providing insightful commercial and regulatory advice in a practice tailored to your existing experience and with opportunities to further develop;
• seeking and building new work opportunities and reinforcing existing client relationships through a strong commitment to targeted marketing, business development, and client care initiatives;
• depending on your experience and aspirations, on competition litigation and appeal work;
• knowledge-sharing and working as part of a cross-office collegiate team, including assisting with the supervision of more junior lawyers; significant tasks and projects; and having the opportunity to lead and manage others in the team, whether directly or on a matrix basis.
• be an active, senior member of the team with the commitment to developing the firm's offering locally and nationally.

The ideal candidate:

• Solicitor of England and Wales 6+ years of PQE in Competition Law
• Highly meticulous, commercially focused, and outcome-orientated
