The Role

Opportunity for a Pensions Associate or Senior Associate (3+ years PQE) to join one of the UK's leading teams that advises on the most prominent pension schemes, to be based in the City of London.

The pensions group advises a full range of stakeholders, including employers, insurers, trustees, government bodies, intermediaries, bidders, and sellers, on all aspects of pension law.

The work will include de-risking transactions, corporate transactions, advising regulatory investigations, scheme fund arrangements, and scheme mergers and closures.

Acting for some of the largest pension schemes and their company sponsors, there is a rich abundance of specialties to get involved with across the public sector, including pensions, investment, insurance, international, employee benefits, master trusts, and pensions litigation, to name just a few.

Therefore, this is a highly attractive platform for an ambitious pensions lawyer who wants to work at the forefront of the industry.

The ideal candidate:

  • Pensions Associate/Senior Associate 3+ years PQE
  • Ideally, you will have some knowledge and transactional experience working for pension (or other) clients in a variety of capacities.
  • Ideally, you will have gained experience in non-contentious pensions work in another pensions team.
    • Due to the nature of the work and structure of the team, the firm is looking to appoint an associate or senior associate in this area; however, the team is willing to consider candidates with more or less experience (including with other legal expertise), so if you are not sure if you meet the criteria, please get in touch for a confidential conversation.
