Personal Injury / Clinical Negligence Paralegal - Birmingham

A well-established and strong regional firm based in Birmingham, are now seeking a motivated and experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join their dynamic team.
The firm is well known for providing exceptional legal services with a client-focused approach.

The Role:


As a Personal Injury / Clinical Negligence Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firms personal injury department. You will work closely with a Partner (named in Legal 500) on a broad range of personal injury cases, including road traffic accidents, workplace injuries, public liability and medical negligence claims.

In addition to supporting a prominent partner in their high value, catastrophic, injury cases, you will steadily take on your own cases, ensuring your skills are developed. You will receive top level mentoring and as such this role promises progression and a bright future.

You will assist in key areas of multi-million pound cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Partner with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, correspondence, and witness statements.
  • Assisting in handling a caseload of personal injury and clinical negligence claims from inception to settlement under the supervision of a Partner.
  • Liaising with clients, medical professionals, counsel and third parties.
  • Preparing and submitting court documents, including applications and statements.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Paralegal in a personal injury, litigation or clinical negligence department.
  • Strong understanding of the personal injury claims process.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach.
  • Legal qualifications (e.g., LLB, LPC) are desirable but not essential.
