Planning Senior Associate | Bristol | 5+ PQE
This Top 50 UK firm is looking for a Senior Associate to join its nationally recognised Planning & Environmental team, based in Bristol. The practice is growing across all offices, making this a fantastic opportunity to take on responsibility, lead on complex matters, and play a key role in the team's continued success.
The Role
You'll be working in one of the UK's top-ranked planning teams, recognised in Chambers and Legal 500 for the depth and quality of its expertise. The caseload is high-value, complex and varied, including:
Advising on strategic land and major infrastructure planning projects
Development plan promotion and public examinations
Planning applications, appeals and enforcement matters
Section 106 and infrastructure agreements
Compulsory purchase and Development Consent Orders
Environmental work including EIAs, habitats and conservation matters
At Senior Associate level, you will take ownership of major projects, manage your own caseload, supervise junior lawyers and contribute to business development initiatives across the region.
About You
Qualified Solicitor with 5+ PQE in planning or related areas
Strong technical expertise with proven experience leading on significant planning and environmental matters
Excellent client-handling and business development skills
Strong leadership qualities and enthusiasm for mentoring junior team members
Commercial mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach
