A long-established and highly regarded regional law firm, currently seeking an accomplished Private Client Partner (or a Senior Associate with a clear pathway to partnership) to join their growing Wills, Estate & Tax Planning division in Tunbridge Wells.

The Firm

With nearly 500 years of heritage and a stronghold across the South East, this innovative and forward-thinking Top 200 law firm is synonymous with quality, trust, and deep client relationships. The firm retains top-tier Legal 500 rankings across multiple departments and is known for its collegiate culture, modern leadership, and long-standing private client base.

Its Private Client team is one of the most highly ranked and respected outside of London, advising HNW individuals, entrepreneurs, landowners, and trustees on a full spectrum of private wealth matters.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic leadership role within a high-performing and collaborative team. As a Salaried Partner, you'll not only manage your own portfolio of complex, high-value work but also contribute to the wider growth strategy of the department through business development, mentoring, and innovation. Key areas of work will include:

  • Estate and inheritance tax planning
  • Wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney
  • Cross-border estate matters
  • Lifetime giving and philanthropy
  • Succession planning for business owners and landowners

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to balance office presence and remote working, in line with the firm's people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A seasoned Private Client Lawyer, either already at Partner level or a Senior Associate ready to step up
  • Experience gained from a respected regional, Legal 500, or national firm
  • Strong technical expertise in estate and tax planning
  • A STEP qualification (or working towards it) is desirable
  • A track record of successful client development and relationship management
  • Leadership capability and a collaborative mindset

What's on Offer

  • A clear, supported route into (or continuation at) partnership
  • Competitive salary and full benefits package
  • A stable pipeline of top-quality work from a loyal and well-established client base
  • A genuinely inclusive, open, and forward-thinking firm culture
  • The opportunity to help shape the future of a thriving, market-leading private client practice
