Role
This firm is renowned for its busy and growing Private Client department who is seeking a Solicitor (NQ-3 years PQE) to join its team in Edinburgh.

Led by experienced STEP-qualified Partners across Scotland, the team delivers trusted advice to a diverse client base, including individuals, trustees and executors throughout Scotland and beyond.

You will enjoy a high level of client and team interaction and take responsibility for a varied and engaging caseload of private client work. This includes providing services in estate planning, executry administration, wills, powers of attorney, trusts and tax mitigation strategies.

You'll also collaborate closely with colleagues in Family Law, Corporate, Real Estate and Residential Property, offering a complete service to clients and gaining exposure to a wide range of legal disciplines.

Your Experience

  • NQ-3 years PQE, ideally with solid Private Client experience
  • A professional and empathetic approach, particularly when dealing with sensitive matters
  • The ability to manage a personal caseload independently, with support from senior colleagues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence in meeting clients, drafting documents and explaining legal processes
  • A working knowledge of the executry process, inheritance tax forms and asset realisation
  • Proactive attitude to business development and cross-selling services
  • STEP qualification (or willingness to work towards it, fully supported by the firm)
