An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Solicitor to join a Tier 1 Legal 500 ranked team in Brighton, forming part of a highly regarded and nationally recognised law firm.

This is a strategic hire ideal for a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ years' PQE looking for a real long term progression opportunity. You'll be joining a collaborative and expert team, advising high-net-worth individuals and families on a wide range of complex and rewarding matters.

The Role:

In this leading team, you'll work alongside respected experts in the field, advising on a broad spectrum of private client work, including:

• Estate and succession planning with a strong emphasis on tax and wealth structuring
• Creation and administration of lifetime and testamentary trusts
• Estate administration and post-death planning, including deeds of variation
• Inheritance tax planning and trust taxation advice
• Drafting bespoke wills, LPAs, and managing probate work
• Working closely with colleagues across departments and liaising with external advisors
• Supporting business development activity and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships

About You:

• Qualified Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ years' PQE in private client law
• Proven experience in high-value and complex wills, trusts, and estate planning matters
• Solid technical knowledge of inheritance tax and trust taxation
• Commercially aware and confident working collaboratively across disciplines
• Approachable, empathetic, and capable of building trusted client relationships
• Enthusiastic about mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the ongoing growth of the team
• Local connections in East Sussex would be a distinct advantage
