This leading UK law firm is home to one of the largest and most highly regarded Real Estate practices, comprising over 200 fee earners across 8 national locations. The successful candidate will work alongside several experienced partners, including individuals ranked in the Legal 500 for their expertise in commercial property. The Real Estate team is recognised for its deep sector knowledge, supportive culture, and strong market presence.

The firm is currently seeking a Real Estate Solicitor with 1+ years' PQE to join its growing Southampton team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-profile matters alongside experienced and supportive Solicitors, within a culture that values flexibility, innovation, and development.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a thriving national Real Estate team and handle a broad range of property matters for household-name clients. Responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on acquisitions and disposals of investment, retail, industrial, and development properties
  • Managing general estate and portfolio work for institutional investors, public sector bodies, and national retailers
  • Advising landlords and tenants on large property portfolios
  • Leading transactions from start to finish, supervising junior colleagues, and contributing to the team's strategic direction
  • Playing an active role in business development and client relationship management across the South Coast and beyond

Candidate Profile

  • At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in Real Estate law
  • A strong technical grounding in commercial property law, ideally gained at a recognised city or large regional firm
  • Proven experience advising landlords and/or tenants on significant property portfolios
  • A commercially astute, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented approach
  • Confidence in managing client relationships and a drive to support business development
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring and supporting colleagues
