A highly regarded, full-service law firm with a national client base is seeking an experienced Real Estate Solicitor or Legal Executive (4+ years PQE) to join its Legal 500 Tier 2-ranked Real Estate Development team based in Farnborough. This is a key hire within a high-performing group known for advising on strategic land transactions and large-scale residential and mixed-use developments.

The Opportunity
The successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers and partners, advising developer clients throughout the full lifecycle of complex development projects, from initial site acquisition through to infrastructure arrangements, planning, and plot disposals.

This role offers exposure to high-value, high-profile transactions and a clear opportunity to take on leadership within a growing and ambitious practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on strategic land acquisitions and disposals, including conditional contracts, options, and promotion agreements.
  • Drafting and negotiating planning agreements, infrastructure agreements, and related utilities arrangements.
  • Advising on joint venture structures, overage, and development agreements.
  • Managing and overseeing plot sales and phased site disposals.
  • Coordinating due diligence and transaction timelines, often across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Maintaining and building client relationships while contributing to business development.


Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in real estate law, particularly in residential development.
  • Proven ability to manage complex development transactions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded, highly organised, and client-focused.
  • A team-oriented individual who enjoys mentoring junior colleagues and collaborating across departments.
