1+ PQE Residential Property Solicitor | Richmond, London | Hybrid Working
Join a respected, long-established law firm delivering high-quality legal work without the corporate burnout.
The Firm:
This is a traditional, well-regarded law firm based in Richmond, with a strong presence in West London and Surrey for over 100 years. The firm prides itself on delivering a personal, high-quality service to a loyal and established client base-predominantly high-net-worth individuals, families, and local professionals-many of whom have instructed the firm for generations.
The team is close-knit, with just 14 fee earners operating in a collaborative, low-hierarchy environment. Unlike larger firms, there is no push for high volume or reliance on referral networks. Instead, the focus is on building long-term client relationships through integrity, consistency, and excellent legal work.
The Role:
The firm is looking to recruit a Residential Property Solicitor to join its friendly and experienced Property Department. This is a key hire within a thriving team handling a wide range of residential conveyancing matters, with scope for involvement in commercial property work depending on experience.
What you'll do:
- Manage your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion
- Work with local clients, agents, and professionals on a variety of property matters (including sales, purchases, remortgages, equity release, lease extensions, and transfers of equity)
- Collaborate within a small, supportive team with dedicated paralegal support
- Build lasting relationships with clients based on trust and high service standards
What They're Looking For:
- A qualified solicitor or legal executive with minimum 12-18 months PQE (more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply)
- Strong experience in residential conveyancing; experience in commercial property is a plus
- A proactive, self-sufficient approach and the confidence to manage matters independently
- Excellent client care and communication skills
Why Join This Firm?
- Work/life balance - No volume targets, no late-night culture
- Meaningful work - High-quality legal matters from long-standing, loyal clients
- Supportive environment - Experienced colleagues, low turnover, and strong collaboration
- Reputation & legacy - A century-long history in the local community
- Paralegal support - Allowing solicitors to focus on legal delivery, not admin
If you're looking for a role with high-quality work, real client contact, and a positive work/life balance-without the stress of city firms-this could be the ideal next step.
