Senior Employment Solicitor | Legal 500 Firm | Horsham, West Sussex | part-time or full-time

An award-winning Legal 500 firm with a strong and growing footprint across the South East is looking to appoint a Senior Employment Solicitor to join its Horsham office. This is a rare and strategic opportunity to take full ownership of the Employment Law offering within a highly regarded, collaborative Litigation team - working alongside talented Corporate Commercial colleagues on high-quality matters.

The Opportunity

As the firm's go-to Employment specialist, you'll play a central role advising both employers and senior executives across the full spectrum of employment law, including:

  • Drafting and negotiating contracts and service agreements
  • Advising on grievance and disciplinary processes, restructures, redundancies and TUPE
  • Handling Employment Tribunal claims and advocacy
  • Providing responsive, commercially pragmatic advice to clients who rely on long-term trusted counsel

You'll also provide vital support on corporate transactions, bringing your employment law insight to mergers, acquisitions and restructures. With a clear runway to grow and shape the department, this is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to step into a leadership position, with autonomy and strategic input from day one.

What You'll Need

  • A qualified Employment Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE
  • Strong experience across both contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Confidence managing your own caseload from instruction through to resolution
  • A commercial mindset and a collaborative working style
  • Experience advising employer clients; exposure to corporate support work is ideal
  • A following or established client relationships would be welcomed, but not essential

What's On Offer

  • A lead role within a Legal 500-ranked firm with an excellent local reputation
  • A platform to build and grow your practice area with full support from the wider team
  • Ongoing collaboration with Litigation and Corporate specialists
  • Flexible working options, including part-time and hybrid arrangements
  • Competitive salary, generous holiday entitlement, and full benefits package
  • A genuinely supportive, people-first culture that values long-term development

This is a stand-out opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor ready to take the next step in their career - combining autonomy, high-quality work, and partnership potential in the longer term.
