Interim Legal Counsel - 6 Month Contract (remote with 1 day per week in office in Hampshire)

Possibility of extension or permanent after contract completion.

What you'll do

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, particularly within payroll, payments, or financial services.
• Collaborate with the sales team to support commercial success while managing legal risk.
• Provide pragmatic legal advice to cross-functional teams across Europe.
• Support improvements to processes and contribute to the development of the legal function.

What we're looking for

• A qualified lawyer with in-house experience (or strong law firm training plus in-house exposure).
• Background in payroll or payments is ideal, though wider financial services experience is also valuable.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills - able to work seamlessly with sales and non-legal teams.
• European work experience preferred.
• Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
