Role
This powerhouse firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Contentious Construction Solicitor to join their team as an Associate and join their expanding team in Glasgow. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected practice that specialises in complex and high-value construction and engineering disputes, offering exposure to landmark projects and the chance to work alongside industry-leading experts in the field.

You will be responsible for advising and representing clients across the full spectrum of construction disputes, including adjudications, arbitrations and litigation in the courts. The role offers significant exposure to complex, high-value matters involving a broad range of UK-based and international clients across a variety of sectors, including infrastructure, energy and commercial development.

At Associate level, you will also play a key role in supervising junior team members, contributing to the development of the team and supporting client relationships.

You'll be supported to thrive in a collegiate and forward-thinking environment that values collaboration, initiative and continuous professional growth, with a strong emphasis on client engagement.

Your Experience

  • 4+ years of relevant PQE in Contentious Construction experience
  • A solid understanding of key issues affecting the construction industry
  • Confidence in managing adjudications, arbitrations and court proceedings
  • Experience advising contractors, consultants and employers across a range of disputes
  • Excellent technical and drafting skills, coupled with strong commercial awareness
  • A client-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
